Invitation for Tender
Date: 31st July, 2019
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Zanzibar Leo Newspaper 3rd July 2019 and in ZECO Website on July 4th, 2019.
2. The Zanzibar Electricity Corporation using its own funds intends to procure Supply of Wooden Poles for the financial year 2019/2020 under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
3. The Zanzibar Electricity Corporation now invites sealed tenders from eligible manufacturer for Supplying Wooden Poles for the year 2019/2020.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, No. 11 of 2016, and are open to all Tenderers.
5. Interested eligible manufacturers may obtain further information at the office of the Zanzibar Electric’ Corporation, Head Office Gulioni, first floor, room No. 25, Email: [email protected], from 9:00am to S:OOp
local time on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional set if any may be purchased by interest Tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee ofTwo Hundred Thousand Shillings Only (TZS. 200,000. or USO 100.00. The Payment should be by cash or by telegraphic transfer. Payment must be through the Ba -people’s Bank of Zanzibar Ltd, Branch: Forodhani, Zanzibar, swift: PBZATZTZ, A/C 022103000051 for USO a
A/C 021103000560 for Tanzania Shilling.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable form of Banker’s cheque or bank guarantee in the amount of two percent (2%) of its total bid price.
8. All tenders in one original plus two copies (2) properly filled in, and enclosed in a sealed plain envelope clear marked TENDER NO. SMZ/G/F0120/2019-2020/03 for Supply of Wooden Poles must be physically submitted · Head office Gulioni, first floor, room number 37, at or before 2:00pm, 12th September, 2019. Tenders will opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders or their representatives who opt to attend in the opening at the Zanzibar Electricity Corporation, Head office, first floor, room No 35.
9. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read o in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance
