TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF PARTS, AND REPAIR OF RESEARCH VESSEL (RV) JUMUIYA IN MWANZA, TANZANIA

Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) is a specialized institution of the East African Community (EAC), mandated to coordinate Sustainable Development and management of the Lake Victoria and its Basin in the EAC Partner States.
The Research Vessel (RV) Jumuiya is a property of East African Community and it is currently docked at Mwanza South Port, United Republic of Tanzania. RV Jumuiya, among other activities, has been used by Lake Victoria Basin Commission in carrying out research under various projects and conducting bathymetric (hydrography surveys for the Ports of Mwanza, Port Bell, and Kisumu.
LVBC now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for supply and installation of parts, and repairs of RV Jumuiya at its current location, Mwanza South Port, ‘Tanzania.
Interested Eligible Bidders may obtain further information at the LVBC Offices at New Nyanza Regional Headquarters, 13 Floor, Owuor Otiende Road, Kisumu, Kenya; Telephone: +254 57 202 3872; Email: <[email protected]> and copy <[email protected]>. Bidding documents can be downloaded from www.lvbcom.org or www.eac.int. Bidders are requested to survey the ship to ensure they have an overall understanding of the statement of requirements prior to submitting their bid.
All Bids properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked “TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF PARTS, AND REPAIRS OF RV JUMUIYA IN MWANZA, TANZANIA” must be addressed and delivered to the address below on or before 11.00 a.m local time, 30 September, 2022.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
