Invitation for Tenders

Date: 16th July, 2019

1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for these projects which appeared in PPRA Website on 7th June, 2019.

2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), Shinyanga Region during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payment under the contracts for the below advertised works.

3. The Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) Shinyanga Region, now invites sealed Tenders from eligible civil contractors and specialist civil contractors registered with Contractors Registration Board (CRB) as shown in the table below :

4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of The Secretary of the Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, P.O. Box 1338 Shinyanga, Email: [email protected] located at Uzunguni Street along Boma Road, TARURA’s Regional Coordinator’s Office, Room No. A01 from 08:00 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand only (TZS.100, 000.00) only through Control number, to be obtained at TARURA Regional Coordinator’s office during office hours from 08:00 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. Prospective bidders should come with the original pay in slip from bank for obtaining Exchequer Receipt Voucher (ERV) .

7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

8. All Tenders in one (1) original plus three (3) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address: The Secretary of the Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, P.O. Box 1338 Shinyanga, email: [email protected] located at Uzunguni Street along Boma Road, TARURA’s Regional Coordinator’s Office, Room No. A01 at or before 31st July.2019 10:00 am local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend the opening at the Regional Coordinator’s Office, Shinyanga, at Uzunguni Street located along Boma Road , Conference Hall Room A16 at 10:00 am local time.

9. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
