FOR REHABILITATION OF EXISTING CLARIFIES UNITS NO 1 AND NO 2 AT LOWE RUVU WATER TREATMENT PLANT

INVITATION FOR TENDER

  1. This invitation for tender follows the general procurement notice for this project which appeared in the Guardian newspaper issue no. 6726 dated 31st May 2019
  2. DAWASA has a set aside funds for operation during the financial year 2019-2020. Its intend that part of the proceed of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for rehabilitation of existing clarifier unit No 1 and No 2 at lower Ruvu Water Treatment Plant
  3. DAWASA now invites sealed tenders from eligible water works specialist or mechanical and electromechanical and civil engineering contractors registered in class 3 and above with the contractors registration board and eligible for carrying out the works under this contract scope of works includes removing sludge from existing clarifies no 1 and No 2 disposing it to recommended site approximately 600m from desludging area, dismantling of the worn out steel structures for clarifier unit 1 and No 2 fabrication and replacing with new ones, surface cleaning and finishing works
  4. Tendering will be conducted through national competitive procedures specification in the public procurement regulation 2013-government notice no 446 as amended in 2016 and is open to all tenders as defined in the regulations unless otherwise stated in the tender data sheet
  5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding document at the office of the Secretary DAWASA Tender Board, DAWASA Building Dunga/Mlanga street opposite to Mwananyaamala Hospital P.O. BOX 1573 DSM from 8:00 – 16:00 hrs Monday – Friday except on public holidays
  6. A complete set of bidding document in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested and eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above upon payment of non-refundable fee of TSH 200,000 FROM 08:00 – 16:00 HRS local time on Monday – Friday except on public holidays. Interested tenders shall obtain control number at DAWASA Office Sokoine Drive(Gerezan) nearby water front building
  7. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security in the format provided in the tendering document unless otherwise stated in the tender data sheet
  8. All in one original plus 3 copies properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address at the SECRETARY, DAWASA TENDER BOARD Dunga/Malanga street opposite Mwananyamal Hospital DSM at 3rd June 2020
  9. Tender will be promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tenders representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at DAWASA BOARDROOM DAWASA Office Dunga/Malanga street opposite Mwananyamal Hospital DSM
  10. LATE BIDS, PORTION of bids, electronic bids, bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
