INVITATION FOR TENDER

FOR PROVISION OF REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF CUSTOMS SCANNERS LOT 1,2,3

1.The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Revenue Authority during the financial year 2019-2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Provision of Repair and Maintenance of Customs Scanners.

2. The Tanzania Revenue Authority now invites sealed Tenders from eligible service providers for Provision of Repair and Maintenance of Customs Scanners. The Tender consists of three lots and you are allowed to quote for Lot one, Lot two, Lot three or all lots.

3. Tendering will be conducted through the International Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the. Tendering Documents at the  office of the Secretary of Tender Board, Tanzania Revenue Authority, (TRA) Headquarters, P. O. Box 11491, Dar es salaam, Tanzania, Sokoine Drive, Room No. G.15 Ground Floor, Telephone No. 2119591-4, Fax 2128594, 1 255-022-119595 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

5. A complete set of Tendering Documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS. 100,000 (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousands Only). Payments should either be by cash, banker’s cheque, or banker’s draft payable to the Commissioner General.

6. All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of at least two (2) percent of the tender value in the form of Bank Guarantee issued or confirmed by a reputable registered local Bank in Tanzania.

7. All Tenders in one (1) original plus one (1) copy, properly fiIIed in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address indicated in paragraph 4 above at or before 10. 00 hours’ local time, Tuesday 5th  November, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TRA Board room, 3’d Floor, TRA Headquarters, Sokoine Drive. Dar es Salaam.

8. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, and not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
