Invitation for Bids
For Provision of Maintenance Services for Diesel Fire Engines and Fire Pumps at Zanzibar Branch
1.This invitation for Tender follows the Bank of Tanzania General Procurement Notice for financial year 2019/20, which appeared in Tanzania Notional e-Procurement System (TANePS) on 12’h July, 2019.
2. Bank of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operations of its Zanzibar Branch during the financial year 2019/20. It is intended that port of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payments under the contracts for the tenders listed under item 3 below. .
3. Bank of Tanzania, Zanzibar Branch now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for tenders listed here under:
Tender Number: PA/082/201 9-20/ZNZ/NC/ 155 Provision of Maintenance Services for Diesel Fire Engines and Fire Pumps at Zanzibar Branch.
4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedures specified in ‘the” public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Bidders as defined In the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Document (5) at the office of the Secretary, Delegated Tender Board, Bank of Tanzania, Zanzibar Branch, Gulioni P.O. Box 568, Zanzibar, of 13rd Floor, Room No. 311 from 8:30 am. to 12:30 pm. and from 2:30 pm. to 4:30 pm. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 115 100,000/-. Payment should be made either by Electronic Payment Transfer; Cash deposit to Intermediary Account number: 9924DAZNZ or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Bank of Tanzania, Zanzibar Branch.
7. All bids must be accompanied by 0 Bid Securing Declaration as requested in the bidding document(s).
8. Interested Bidders are required to attend the pre-bid meeting which will be held on Monday 7th October, 2019 at 10:00 hours at main conference room, 1st floor, office building. A bidder’s representative who will be chosen to attend the pre-bid meeting should be knowledgeable and conversant in the related field.
9. All bids in one original plus one copy, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked with Tender Number and Tender Description must be delivered to the Secretary, Delegated Tender Board, Bank of Tanzania, Zanzibar Branch, Gulioni , P.O. Box 568, Zanzibar, at 3rd Floor, Room No. 311 at or before 11.00 hours on Thursday 17th October, 2019.
10. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders or their representatives who choose to attend. Bids opening ceremony will take place in Conference Room, on 1″ Float, Bank of Tanzania, Zanzibar Branch Office Building, Gulioni.
11. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, and bids not received, bids not opened and not read out in public at the bids opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances;
