ZANZIBAR SOCIAL SECURITY FUND
INVITATION FOR TENDERS:
Proposed construction of the part of phase one at Zanzibar new city centre – Kwahani Zanzibar Tanzania
- Zanzibar Social Security Fund has set aside funds during the financial year 2018/2019 and intends that part of those funds will be used to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Proposed Construction of the Part of Phase One at Zanzibar New City Centre – Kwahani Zanzibar Tanzania.
- Zanzibar Social Security Fund is hereby inviting all qualified and eligible contractors for Proposed Construction of the Part of Phase One at Zanzibar New City Centre – Kwahani Zanzibar Tanzania. together with external works and all associated works. The required contractor should indicate that they are or eligible to be REGISTERED CLASS I BUILDING CONTRACTORS from eligible source countries as defined in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016.
The works consists of the following: –
- Site Preparation and demolition.
- Proposed Construction of commercial and residential buildings with maximum of five stories including all associated services. And
- Other external works.
- Tendering will be conducted through the International Tendering Procedures as specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016. Section 69(1) and is open to all Tenderers.
- Qualified tenderer’s may obtain further information from and inspect the tendering documents at the Office of Secretary, Tender Board, Zanzibar Social Security Fund,P.O.BOX 2716, KilimaniMnarawa Mbao, Zanzibarfrom 08.30 hours local timeto 16.30 hours local time on Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- A complete set of Tendering Documents and any additional documents may be purchased by qualified Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 9 bellow and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania shillings Five Hundred Thousand (TZS 500,000.00). Payment should either be by Cheque or bank transfer payable to Zanzibar Social Security Fund or cash paid to the following account detail.

- All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securityin an acceptable form in the amount of Tanzania Shilling Two Hundred Million (TZS 200,000,000) or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
- All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below. The deadline for submission of bids is 10:00 hours local time on Friday, 19th July, 2019Tenders will be opened in public and in the presence of those Tenderer’s, who choose to attend in the Conference Room, Zanzibar Social Security Fund at 10:00 hour’s local time on Friday, 19th July, 2019. The outer cover shall be clearly marked “PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF THE PART OF PHASE ONE AT ZANZIBAR NEW CITY CENTRE – KWAHANI ZANZIBAR TANZANIA”.
- Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders not received, not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony and shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
