QUALIFICATION INFORMATION
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF SHOPPING MALL BLOCK AND BOOKING OFFICES AT KANGE BUS TERMINAL IN TANGA CITY COUNCIL – PROPOSAL NO. LGA/128/2016-17/HQ/C/ STRATEGIC PROJECT/ 06
The Government of United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for Strategic Project in Tanga City Council for the Construction of Shopping Mall Block and Booking Offices Building at Kange Bus Terminal. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used by Tanga City Council to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Proposed Construction of Shopping Mall Block and Booking Offices at Kange Bus Terminal in Tanga City Council.
The project consists of the following works:-
• Construction of a shopping Mall Block consisting of Ground, First and Second Floor providing Passenger waiting lounges, Bus ticket offices and Let able spaces.
• Associated Building Engineering Services installations that is, Electrical, HVAC, Lifts, Plumbing (and drainage), Security System and Fire Alarm (Detection and Fire Fighting), Voice and Data (ICT) Cabling.
• Other works include associated external works such as soft landscaping, parking, walkways and boundary wall.
The Tanga City Council intends to pre-qualify contractors for Proposed Construction of Shopping Mall Block and Booking Offices at Kange Bus Terminal in Tanga City Council. It is expected that invitations to tender will be made in March, 2019
Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specified in Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement Regulations,– Government Notice 446 of 2013, and is open to all applicants registered in class ONE.
A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address given below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS. 100,000. Payment should be, payable to, Municipal Director, Tanga Municipal Council, P. O. Box 178, Tanga, .
Prequalification application Document filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked “Pre-qualification information for the Proposed Construction of Shopping Mall Block and Booking Offices at Kange Bus Terminal in Tanga City Council” delivered to the address below not later than 1100 hours on Thursday 7th March, 2019. DIECTOR , TANGA CITY COUNCIL BOX 178,TANGA CITY COUNCIL HEADQUARTERS ,HASSAN NGWILIZI ROAD, PMU OFFICE.
Applications will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of applicants’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TANGA CITY COUNCIL MAIN CONFERENCE HALL LOCATED AT THE COUNCIL HEADQUARTERS.
Late applications, portion of applications, electronic applications, and applications not received, applications not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
