INVITATION FOR TENDERS (IFT)

1. This Invitation for Tender follows the General Procurement Notice for these projects which appeared on PPRA procurement Journal ISSN 1821-6021 VOL. XII-NO.25 dated 11th Tuesday June,2019.
2. The Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), Kagera Region has received funds from Road Fund Board. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contracts for roads maintenance as indicated in the table below.
3. The Regional Engineer Coordinator on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer TARURA – Kagera Region, now invites sealed bids from eligible National Civil Engineering Contractors and special groups (Elders, women, Youth and disabled) registered with the Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in Classes as it is indicated on the respective tenders on the table below.

4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding Procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and is open to National Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the Secretary to the Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, Kagera Region, P.O. Box 551, Bukoba, National Housing Street, adjacent to Tanroads Offices Kashai Ward, Bukoba in municipality. E-mail: [email protected] from 8:00 to 15:30 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays, from 15th July, 2019 to 30th July,2019 and 31st July, 2019. As indicated on the table below with respective tenders.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs 100,000.00. Payment should either be by Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, TARURA Collection Account, National Microfinance Bank, NMB A/C 53010001080.after obtaining a Control Number from Regional accountant.
7. All Bids in One original plus two copies of the Original Bid, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address TARURA Regional Coordinator, Kagera Region, P.O. Box 551, at or before 10:00 hours on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st July, 2019. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TARURA Regional Engineer Coordinator’s Office situated at National Housing Street, Kashai Ward in Bukoba Municipality.
8. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents.
9. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, and tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
