Save the children, International invites Tanzanian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with physical presence in Songwe Region to implement the Child Protection and Child Rights Governance project
Background
In 2018 Save the Children Tanzania developed and launched a three-year strategic plan (2019-2021) aligned to the Save the Children’ s Ambition for Children 2030. The strategic plan spells out 15-year commitments to Save the Children strategic breakthroughs and more specific goals over the 20192021 period specifically In the thematic areas of Child Protection and Child Rights Governance focusing on community-based activities In Mbozi district.
Programmatic Focus Areas 1
Under Child Protection, Save the Children Tanzania IS focusing on following subthemes to ensure protection for children:
- Child Protection system strengthening
- Protection of children from violence
Under Child Rights Governance, Save the Children Tanzania Is focusing on following subthemes to strengthen:
- Monitoring and demanding child rights with children
- Governance capacity to deliver child rights
- Advocacy on ending child marriage and Increase of budget allocations for children
