REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF REPLACEMENT HOUSES. REF. 0010005749
TOTAL East Africa Midstream B.V. (Company), an Oil and Gas company, invites experienced and reputable contractors to express their interest in construction of replacement houses under the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), Project Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) implementation.
The Republic of Uganda, through the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), the United Republic of Tanzania through Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), as well as the International Oil Companies(IOCs), partaking in the development of Exploration Areas 1, 1A, 2 and Kingfisher Discovery Area in the Albertine Graben in Uganda or their affiliates will participate in the implementation of the EACOP Project (Potential Pipeline Participants). The EACOP Project development involves the engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of a crude oil export pipeline crossing Uganda and Tanzania and an onshore Marine Terminal in Chongoleani, near Tanga Port in Tanzania.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF THE WORKS:
Construction of a maximum of 54 No. replacement residential houses, for Project Affected People (PAPs) displaced by the pipeline project Early Works Priority Areas on different sites in Kagera, Tabora, Geita and Singida Regions of Tanzania.
The Project will provide a replacement house(s) at the agreed replacement land to eligible physically displaced households. The project will determine the replacement structures to be provided and the location for each PAP. The house designs are based on standardized, flexible house layouts. Replacement houses will generally be between two and five rooms, and between 25 and 75 m2 in total area and have ancillary amenities like kitchens and toilets. Replacement housing will be of an adequate standard of construction.The houses will be constructed using modern locally sourced materials according to the Tanzania national building codes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Tanzanian National Contractors (Building) Registration minimum Class 2. (Submit copy)
• Building construction experience in Kagera, Tabora, Geita and Singida Regions of Tanzania.
• Financial capability to undertake the proposed works.
• Suitable HSE, Social and Quality policy.
• Commitment to developing local / national content value.
• Registration with EWURA Local Content LSSP Database
Interested companies that meet the minimum requirements and have the capacity to undertake the works mentioned above should express their interest by sending together with a copy of their Contractor Registration Certificate, an email to [email protected] (max. email size 10Mb) on or before 17:00 hours East African Time (EAT), on 19th March 2019. Companies that satisfactorily meet the above minimum requirements will receive, subject to the signature of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), a detailed pre-qualification questionnaire for further evaluation by Company.
