DESLUDGING AND TRANSPORTING OF DRY SLUDGE FROM FACULTATIVE POND NO. I AND ANAEROBIC PONDS AT MABIBO WASTEWATER  STABILIZATION PONDS.

INVITATION FOR TENDERS

1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in The Guardian Issue no. 6726 dated 31st May, 2019.

2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority (DAWASA) during the financial year 2019-2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Desludging and Transporting of Dry Sludge from Facultative Pond No. 1 and Anaerobic Ponds at Mabibo Wastewater Stabilization Ponds.

3. The Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority (DAWASA) now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Civil Engineering or Building contractors registered or capable of being registered in Class six (6) and above with the Contractors Registration Board are eligible for carrying out the works under this contract includes: Desludging and Transporting of Dry Sludge from Facultative Pond No. 1 and Anaerobic Ponds at Mabibo Wastewater Stabilization Ponds .

4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering Method procedures specified in the Procurement Regulations, 2013 and its amendment of 2016 Government Notice No.446 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering 1 Documents at the office of the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, Dunga/Malanga Street (Opp. Mwananyamala Hospital) P.O. Box 1573 Dar Es Salaam from 8:00 am to 16:00 hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under  paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand (Tshs. 100,000.00) only. Payment should be done by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, or telegraphic transfer to Chief Executive Officer, Account Name: DAWASA, Account Number 01J1021921900 CRDB Bank Plc, Tower Branch, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. SWIFT code CORUTZTZ. The document will be delivered upon payment or by request through courier on bidder’s account

7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

8. All Tenders in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address of the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, Dunga/Malanga Street Opposite Mwananyamala Hospital P.O. Box 1573 Dar Es Salaam at or before 10.00 am, 17th October, 2019.

9. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the DAWASA Boardroom, DAWASA Offices, Dunga/Malanga Street Opposite Mwananyamala Hospital  P.O.Box 1573, Dar es Salaam.  

10. Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, and Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
