FOR CONSTRUCTION OF REMAINING WORKS OF RIGID PAVEMENT AT CHECK POINT No.3, HEAVY DUTY PAVING AT EX-NASACO YARD AND REPLACEMENT OF ASBESTOS ROOFING SHEETS TO CENTRAL WORKSHOP, EX-NASACO. SHEDS AND OFFICES.
1.The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) during the financial year 2019/ 2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Construction of Remaining Works of Rigid Pavement at Check Point No.3, Heavy Duty Paving at Ex-Nasaco Yard and Replacement of Asbestos Roofing Sheets to Central Workshop, Ex-Nasaco, Sheds and Offices.
2. The Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Civil or Building Contractors registered or capable of being registered in Class I for carrying out the Construction of Remaining Works of Rigid Pavement at Check Point No.3, Heavy Duty Paving at Ex-Nasaco Yard and Replacement of Asbestos Roofing Sheet: to Central Workshop, Ex-Nasaco, Sheds and 0f6ces.
3 . Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering (NCI’) specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board on 26th Floor at Bandari Tower One Stop Centre Plot No. 1/2 along Sokoine Drive from 0900 to 16“) Hours Local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
The pre-bid meeting and Site visit will be concluded on 2nd October, 2019 starting at 10:00 hours local time on 26th Floor at Bandari Tower One Stop Centre Plot No. 1/2 along Sokoine Drive.
5. A complete set of Tendering Document (5) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Director General of Tanzania Ports Authority
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents. Bids not accompanied by Tender Securing Declaration will be rejected.
7. All Tenders in ONE original plus TWO copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked ”TENDER N0.AE/016/2019-20/HQ/W/04 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF REMAINING WORKS OF RIGID PAVEMENT AT CHECK POINT No.3: HEAVY DUTY PAVING AT EX-NASACO YARD AND REPLACEMENT 0F ASBESTOS ROOFING SHEETS TO CENTRAL WORKSHOP, EX-NASACO, SHEDS AND OFFICES.” must be delivered to the address: The Secretary, Central Tender Board. Tanzania Ports Authority, P. O. Box 9184, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
8. Deadline for submission of tenders is on 10th October, 2019 at 10.00 am. local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening on 26′” Floor at Bandari Tower-One Stop Centre Plot No. 1 / 2 along Sokoine Drive.
9. Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, and Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
Tanzania Ports Authority is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender.
