CONSTRUCTION OF MSALATO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – PHASE ONE, LOT ONE, PACKAGE 1 INFRASTRUCTURE

- The government of United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African development Bank toward the cost for the construction of the Construction of msalato International Airport Phase 1 Lot 1 and intends to apply a portion of these funds to cover eligible payments under the works contractor for the construction of Msalato International Airport – Phase1, Lot 1 package 1 infrastructure tender No AE/001/2019-20/HQ/W/38
- The Tanzania National Roads Agency an agency of the Ministry of works transport and communication hereinafter as the employer now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for construction of Msalato International Airport – Phase 1, Lot 1 package 1 infrastructure tender no AE/001/2019-2020/HQ/W/38
- The estimate quantities for major items of works are as follows

4. Bidders should note that to qualify of the award contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualifying criteria. It should be noted that bidders must be able to demonstrate that, in the capacity as prime contractor they should have successful completed at least 3 project of the similar nature each with a value of at least us $ 100,000,000.00 within the last 10 yrs. Bidders are required to provide full and detailed of their financial capability to perform such works and to demonstrate that they have experienced key personnel with appropriate qualification. As part of proof of experience on construction of airport project, bidders are required to submit certified forms of contractor awarded contractors in the past, taking over and completion certificates duly certified together with telephone number and email address of the previous employer/awarding agency. Bidders should also note the works must be completed within thirty six months inclusive of three months of mobilization and that they are required to provide detailed particular of all items of equipment’s and plant they deem necessary to deploy for the timely completion of the works. Bidders who are proven non-performers need not to apply as they will be disqualified
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the office of the secretary, TANROADS, HQ Tender Board 2nd Floor 10 Shaban Robert Road/Garden Avenue Junction Dar es Salaam from 8:00 to 16:30 local time Monday to Friday Inclusive except on public holidays
6. A complete set of biding document may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 300,000 Which has to be paid with reference to Government e-Payment Gateway control number to be issued by the Accountants section at TANROADS HQ. Bidders can collect the bidding document from 8 am – 16 pm local time from Monday to Friday Inclusive except on public holidays at the employer’s Head Office Dar es Salaam. document will not be dispatched by courier services
7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after tender opening and must be accompanied by a bid security in original and in acceptable form in the amount of TZS 1,000,000,000 or its equivalent in freely convertible currency and the bid must be submitted or be sent by a registered post to SECRETARY TANROADS HQ Tender Board 2nd floor shaban rober road/garden avenue junction Dar es Salaam P.O. Box 11364 Dar es Salaam Tanzania so as to reach him on or before the deadline for submission of bids security shall be clearly addressed to Chief Executive TANROADS, P.O. BOX 11364 DAR ES SALAAM and shall be validity for 28 days beyond the end of the validity of the bid
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend immediately after 10:00 local time on 29th April 2020 TANROADS CONFERENCE ROOM 2nd Floor, immediately after submission deadline and in the presence of tenders representatives who choose to attend the outer cover of the bid must be clearly marked construction of Msalato International Airport – Phase 1, Lot 1 package 1 infrastructure tender NO AE/001/2019-2020/HQ/W/38
9. A combined site visit and pre-tender will be held on 23rd March 2020 at the Regional Managers Office TANROADS Dodoma. The site visit will commence at 9:00 hrs local time
10. Late bids portion of bids electronic bids not received bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
