Construction of Modern Abattoir at Utengule Mbeya District Council
INVITATION FOR TENDER
1.Mbeya District Council has set aside funds for Construction of Modern Abattoir at Utengule, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation for bids is issued.
2. Mbeya District Council now invites sealed bids from all eligible Mechanical and Process Engineering Contractors registered under Class four and above with the Contractors Registration Board to carry out the fabrication, supply and installation, testing and commissioning of slaughter system for cattle and small ruminant stock with capacity to slaughter 150 cattle and 100 small ruminants daily at Utengule area. The abattoir building is in place and the successful bidder is to utilize the facility to install the slaughter system.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act No 7 of 2011 (Goods, Works, Non-Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) and its Regulations GN 446 of 2013 and its amendment of 2016

From 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
4. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Hundred Thousand Tanzanian Shillings (100,000). Payment should be by E-Bank, payable to Mbeya District Council.
5. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Bidding documents.
6. All bids in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below at or before 11.10.2019, 10:00 am Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at Mbeya District Council Office-HALL.
7. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, not received, bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance. ‘
