INVITATION FOR TENDERS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF 500 METERS CUBIC STORAGE TANK , EXCAVATION AND BACKFILLING, LYING OF RISING MAIN STEEL PIPES OF 12 INCHES AND DISTRIBUTION OF MAIN UPVC RANGES FROM 12 INCHES TO 8 INCHES.

1. This invitation for tenders follows BUWASA General Procurement Notice which appeared in Tanzania Procurement Journal ISSN 1821-6021 Vol Xll-NO-ZO dated 14th May, 2019.
2. The Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Water has set aside funds for the operation of the BUWASA during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Construction of 500 meters cubic storage tank, excavation and backfilling, lying of rising main steel pipes of 12 inches and distribution of main UPVC ranges from 12 inches to 8 inches.
3. The BUWASA now invites sealed tenders from eligible contractors registered in class five and above. All documents will be obtained at the Bukoba Urban Water supply and Sanitation Authority (BUWASA) Tender Board, P.O.Box 81 BUKOBA from 8:OOam to 3:00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and are open to national Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the The Secretary, Bukoba Urban Water supply and Sanitation Authority (BUWASA) Tender Board, P.O.Box 81 BUKOBA from 8:OOam to 3:00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100,000/Payment should be paid through control number provided by BUWASA. (NOTE: YOU SHOULD CONTACT WITH BUWASA OFFICE TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED TO REQUEST FOR CONTROL NUMBER FOR PAYMENT).
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
8. All Tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address The Secretary, Bukoba Urban Water supply and Sanitation Authority (BUWASA) Tender Board, P.O.Box 81 BUKOBA, at or before 10:00pm local time on 15th October, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the BUWASA Conference room.
9. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, and tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
