Invitation for Tenders

The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2018-19 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of its funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.

TANESCO now invites sealed Tenders from eligible contractors registered for carrying out the said assignment.

Tendering will be conducted through International Competitive Tendering Procedures as specified in the Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement (Amendments) Regulations Government Notice No. 333 of 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

The Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Tender Board Central Zone at the Procurement Management Unit Office located at Room No. 20, 2nd floor, TANESCO Central Zone Office Building, along DAR ES SALAAM Road -Dodoma, PO. Box 49, Dodoma. Telephone/fax (255) 26-2321632 fax +255 26-232174 from 0900hrs to 16.00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays

A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00 VAT Inclusive. Payment should be made through National Microfinance Bank Account, payable to TANE’SCO LTD upon receipt of reference number at TANESCO Dodoma for local applicants: for foreign applicant payment shall be made through the following accounts:

All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration. lf this Tender will not be accompanied by bid securing declination will be considered as non-responsive.

All tenders in one ORIGINAL plus three (3) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENDER No. PAI001/2018-19/CZN/W/04 FOR CHANGING OF GANTRY CRANE AND WHEEL GATE OPERATING MECHANISM FROM ELECTRO MECHANICAL BRAKE SHOES TO ELECTRO HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AT MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT” (Not to be opened before 10:30 Hrs on Tuesday 16th July. 2019) must be delivered at or before 10:00 Hrs on Monday 29uh July, 2019 to the address: THE SECRETARY -DELEGATED TENDER BOARD-CENTRAL ZONE, TANESCO CENTRAL ZONE OFFICE, PO. BOX 49, DODOMA to reach him/her at Room No. 20, 2″“ floor, on or before 29″July, 2019 at 10.30 hours local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zonal Procurement Specialist Office located at Room No. 20, 2nd floor, TANESCO Central Zone office Building, located along Dar es Salaam Road P.0. Box 49, Dodoma.

Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders. Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.

The Tenderers, at their own responsibility and risk, MUST visit and examine the site on which service (5) are to be provided and obtain for themselves all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a Contact for provision of the service.The costs of visiting the Site shall be at the Tenderer’s own expense.
