INVITATION FOR TENDER
FOR
BALANCE WORKS FOR CONSTRUCTIONS OF TERMINAL BUILDING AT SONGWE AIRPORT
TENDER NO AE/001/2019-2020/HQ/W/44
- The government of Tanzania has allocated funds for the operations of the ministry of works, transport and communications during the FY 2019/2020. Its intends that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for The Balance Works For Constructions Of Terminal Building At Songwe Airport Tender no AE/001/2019-2020/HQ/W/44
- TANROADS hereinafter refers to as the employer now invites sealed tender from the eligible and capable contractors for carrying out the Balance Works For Constructions Of Terminal Building At Songwe Airport Tender no AE/001/2019-2020/HQ/W/44
- Tendering will be conducted through the national competitive tendering method specified in the public procurement regulations 2013 – government notice no 446 and is open to all tenders as defined in the regulations
- The works consist of balance Works For Constructions Of Terminal Building At Songwe Airport, the major works to be executed under this contract will comprise of and not limited to the following
• preliminaries & general items
• terminal building – civil works
• plumbing and engineering installation
• electrical works
• gazing and faced works
• electrical works
• air conditions
• data and voice cabling
• fire alarm an detection system
• access control system
• public address and evacuation system
• flight information display system
• security screening equipment’s and
• fire fighting system
5. tenders note that to qualify for award of the contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualification criteria. It should note that tenders must be able to demonstrate that in the capacity as prime contractor they should have successful completed at less 2 airport building projects of similar nature and complexity within the last 10 years. Tenders are required to provide full and detailed particular of their key personnel with appropriate qualifications. As a part of proof of experience on airport projects tenders are required to submit certificate forms of contract award contracts in the past taking over and completion certificates duly certified together with the telephone number and email address of the previous employer/warding agency. Tenders should also note that the works must be completed within 8 months inclusive one months of mobilization and that they are required to provide detailed particular of all items of equipments and plant that they deem necessary to deploy for the timely completion of the works. Tenders who are proven non-performers’ need o apply as they will be disqualify

7. A complete set of tendering document in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested tender document upon submission of a written application to the address given in para 4 above and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of TZS 200,000.00 which has to be paid with reference to GePG control number to be issued by the Accounts section at TANROADS HQ
8. Tenders shall be valid for a period of 120 days after tendering open and must be accompanied by tendering security in an acceptable from in the amount of TZS 400,000,000 or its equivalent of in a freely convertible currency and the tender must be submitted or be sent by registered post to

9. 10 Late tenders partial tender electronic tenders sent by fax tenders not received not opened and not read out in public at the opening ceremony shall not be considered for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
