Invitation for Bids
Date: 25 October, 2021
1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in ZANZIBAR LEO Issue no.6287 dated 29™ JULY 2021.
2. Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has set aside funds during the financial year 2021/2022. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the SUPPLYING, INSTALLING AND TRAINING OF THE EQUIPMENTS FOR BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL LABORATORY
3. The ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARD now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to provide services for Tender No. SMZ/RO107/G/ ICB/2021-22/30, SUPPLYING, INSTALLING AND TRAINING OF THE
EQUIPMENTS FOR BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL LABORATORY
4. Bidding will be conducted through the INTERNATIONALCOMPETITIVE BIDING procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2020 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the SECRETARY OF TENDER BOARD ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARD, AMANI
INDUSTRIAL PARK, URBAN P.O.BOX 1136, ROOM NO.13 FROM 07:30AM TO 03:30PM on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in ENGLISH LANGUAGE and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee payable of TZS TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND (200,000), payment should either be made by control number or Bank cheque payable to ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARDS.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security TZS TEN MILLION (10,000,000) in an acceptable form in the amount of BANKER’S CHEQUE or BANK GUARANTEE or freely convertible currencies.
8. All Bids in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address SECRETARY OF TENDER BOARD OF ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARD, AMANI INDUSTRIAL PARK, URBAN P.O.BOX 1136, ROOM NO.13 at or before 10:00AM 1ST December, 2021. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the CONFRENCE ROOM OF ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARD
9. Late Bids, incomplete bids, electronic bids, bids not received, and not opened and not read out in public at the Bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
