SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT STATISTICS TRAINING INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE SCHOOL OF STATISTICS AND PLANNING (SSP), MAKERERE UNIVERSITY, KAMPALA, UGANDA.

1. The East African Community has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Statistics Development and Harmonisation Regional Project (Stat-DHRP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for payments under the contract for the above-mentioned goods.
2. The EAC Stat-DHRP now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of goods as mentioned above.
3. Bidding will be conducted through National (Regional at East African Community level) competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016 (Revised November 2017 and August 2018) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the East African Community Secretariat. 5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded from the EAC website: www.eac.int under the link below
6. Bids must be delivered to the address in (9) below on or before 11.00 am local time on 27^th November 2020. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address in (9) below at 11:30 am local time, on 27^th November 2020.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in USD of USD 8,600
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership Form, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
