AfriFARM solution was developed customize and tested in Malawi by project concern International adapting the AfriFARM solution in the Tanzania context was critical whereas a review an detesting of the functionally of the AfriFARM modules were strategically done to suit the purpose which include gathering experience and prospective from the Tanzania user
PCI has proceed 4 episode of learning document in Swahili and we want to insert sub-titles into the video
OVERVIEW
PCI is solicitations orients quotes from qualified companies agencies or individual to translate for Kiswahili video into English and insert sub-titles in the video, each video is approximately 2o Minutes in length, the successful firm/individual will have relevant experience I translating technical video from Swahili to English and inserting sub-titles into video
PURPOSE
Insertion of subtitle in the already and formatted AfriFARM documentaries which are divided into 4 episodes, translation will be from Swahili o English
- Training of extension officers
- Field visit on scouting
- Harvest period and
- Nane exhibition(farmers day)
DELIVERABLES AND PAYMENTS
- Signed contract and work plan 10%
- Episode #1 completed training of extension officers documentary 20%
- Episode # 2 completed field visit on scouting documentary 20%
- Episode # 3 completed harvest period documentary 20%
- Episode # 4 completed Nane nane exhibition documentary 20%
PRESS TO COMPLETE EPISODE
- Consultancy submit translation spoken Swahili – English text
- PCI reviews and providers feedback on English text
- Consultant submit draft video with sub titles to PCI
- PCI review and providers feedback on timing and quality of sub-titles
- Consultant submits final video and invoice
TRANSLATION INSTRUCTION
- Translation to follow the existing video
- Maintain formatting if something is boded in Swahili , keep the translation in table
- Ensure high quality translation from Swahili to English
- Ensure sub-titles progress at same pace as speaking
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Qualified firms agencies and individuals can submit the following as part of their expression of interest to PCI by 11 September
- Cost proposal – the cost proposal will be based on the scope of work indicated above
- Staffing – names and CVS of translators and designer on the project team
- Timeline – schedule for all deliverables (all 4 episode to be completed by 25 September)
- Capability statement – not exchange one page narrative on the firms/individuals capabilities to perform the scope of work indicating past experience in translation and documentary design , the firms should include in an annex with brief descriptions of previous projects implemented by the firms
- References – a minimum of 3 client references worked with in the past 2 yrs on an activity that is similar to this scope of work include the contact information(names, company or organization, phone number and email)
