Request for Expression of Interest / Companies specialized in the provision of translation services.
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project is a joint Project of Burundi. Rwanda and Tanzania.
The agreed project preparation management arrangements consist of a Council of Ministers In charge of electricity in the three countries, Project Implementation Committee (PIC) consisting of the Managing Director/Director General of the Electricity Utility. Director General/ Commissioner/Director of Energy in each country and Project Manager under Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program Coordination Unit (NELSAP-CU). NBI/NELSAP Coordination Unit also has fiduciary responsibility and oversees donor‘s grants to the project implementation. The Ministers in charge of energy in the three countries have decided to implement the project through the public financed, privately managed mechanism.
The Rusumo Project Implementation Unit (RPIU), located in Kigali, is in charge of implementing the project on behalf of NELSAP. The Republic of Burundi. The Republic of Rwanda, and The United Republic of Tanzania have received financing from the World Bank toward the Cost of the NELSAP s Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for provision of translation services
interested Service Providers are requested to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services of similar assignments experience in similar conditions and availability
in order to fulfill its mission and vision, NELSAP/Rusumo Project needs specialized companies/firms in various domains for its vendor’ s/suppliers database.
The domain of interest is:
Companies specialized in the provision of translation services of documents in the following languages:
- Kiswahili-English-Kiswahili (Lot 1)
- French-English-French (Lot 2)
- Kirundi-English-Kirundi (Lot 3)
- Kinyarwanda-English-Kinyarwanda (Lot 4)
Interested bidders should submit their expression of Interest together with the following documents:
Name of the company/Service Provider: Address (P.O Box) Phone Number,
Email address, Physical address;
A copy of Business Registration certificate showing that the company/firm is eligible in the specific field of Business; Providing at least 3 Completion certificates for the similar rendered services in at least three past years (from 2016) mentioning the full contact addresses of the clients List of Key Experts with highly qualified in literature and communication related to the above mentioned languages (Master‘s Degree in Literature or Communication related to the above mentioned fields, with 10 years of professional experience in similar assignments)

The application will contain:
- A cover letter with statement on applicant‘s interest in the assignment and Suitability based on the given TOR
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) indicating his references and suitability in accordance with requirements listed above.
- Copies of academic & professional training certificates
The subject of the email should be “Provision of translation services of NELSAP/Rusumo Project documents” Deadline for submission is on 23rd September 2019 before 17:00 hours Rwanda time
Only qualified bidders will be shortlisted and be part of NELSAP/Rusumo Project Service Providers database.
