REHABILITATION OF CRUDE OIL STORAGE TANK TO AT TANK FARM, KIGAMBONI, DAR-ES-SALAAM, TANZANIA
1.0 INTRODUCTION
TAZAMA Pipelines Limited owns and operates a 1,710 km long crude oil pipeline which runs from Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania to INDENI Refinery in Ndola, Zambia. The system includes a Tank Farm situated at Kigamboni, Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania comprising of six tanks with a holding capacity of 230,000 m*. TAZAMA intends to carry out rehabilitation of the Crude Oil Tank T6 with Storage Capacity of 41,218 m located at Tank Farm in order to improve the Storage Capacity.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORKS
The works under this contract comprise briefly the following:
(i) Supply and Installation of the new tank bottom including compacted fill layer and 80 mm asphalt layer;
(ii) Supply and installation of the new roof deck including welding onto existing pontoon;
(iii) Supply and installation of new fire-fighting system (water and foam); Repairs on the wind girder by replacement of rusted sections; Installation and replacement of new valves;
(vi)Painting of the whole tank.
3. REQUIREMENTS
In order to be pre-qualified for further evaluation, Prospective Contractors must:
3.1 Provide Company Profile with proof of legal incorporation with valid copies of Certificate of Incorporation, Tax Compliance, Relevant Licences, Consortium Agreements, etc.
3.2 Be a Reputable Civil Contracting Company with experience in rehabilitation of Crude Oil Storage Tanks to International Standards of not less than Ten (10) Years.
3.3 Listing of necessary equipment for use in the rehabilitation including but not limited to) Lifting Equipment, Industrial Welding Machines, etc.
3.4 Provide proof of Financial (Submission of Audited Financial Statement for Past Five Years) and Technical Capability to carry out the assignment as detailed in the scope.
3.5 Provide Bio-data of Key Technical Staff to carry out the rehabilitation including qualifications, experience, certifications, etc. such as Site Engineer, Welders, Civil Engineers / Technicians, etc.
3.6 Any other information deemed relevant for this exercise.
