Pre-Qualification of Suppliers

RE-PRINTING BANK NOTES AND RE-MINTING COINS AT BANK OF TANZANIA SUB-HEAD OFFICE DAR ES SALAAM.
1. This Pre-Qualification of Suppliers follows the General Procurement Notice for this prospect which appeared in Tanzania National Electronic Procurement System (TANePS) dated 1st July, 2021, updated from time to time.
2. The Bank of Tanzania intends to pre-qualify suppliers of firms for reprinting banknotes and re-minting coins for the Bank of Tanzania. It is expected that invitations to tender will be made in the next Financial Year 2022/2023. Only shortlisted firms shall be invited under restrictive tendering arrangement.
3. Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specified in regulation 119 of the Pubic Procurement Regulations. Government Notice No. 446 of 2013 as amended in 2016, and is open to all applicants as defined in the Regulations. The applicants shall be restricted to apply only for one lot of their choice:
LOT 1 Re-Printing and Supply of Banknotes at Bank of Tanzania Sub-Head Office Dar es Salaam
LOT 2 Re-printing and Supply of Coms at Bank of Tanzania Sub-Head Office Dar es Salaam
Note: Each Lot shall be published on TANePS separately.
4. Interested applicants may obtain further information by accessing a complete set of pre-qualification document(s) in the English Language through TANePS.
5. A complete set of pre-qualification document(s) may be obtained or downloaded through TANePS
6. There is no Pre – Qualification Meeting, however applicants have the night to submit request for clarifications through TANePS within seven (7) days nor to pre-qualification closing date and all clarification responses shall be communicated to all applicants through TANePS. Any request for clarification raised outside TANePS shall not be attended.
7. All applications shall be submitted through TANePS at or before 14:00 hrs on 5th July,2022. Applications will be opened promptly thereafter on TANeP’S dashboard and applicants may participate in the opening by lagging into the TANePS.
8. Applicators not received through TANePS shall not be accepted for evaluation respective of the circumstance
9. The Bank of Tanzania reserves the right to accept or reject any application, and to annul the
Pre-qualification process and reject all applicants at any time without thereby mourning any liberty to the applicants
