Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of New Alternator 3.4 MVA at Somanga Gas Power Plant
Invitation for Tenders
Date: February, 2019
1.The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2018/19 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
2. TANESCO now invites sealed tenders from eligible tenderers for Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of New Alternator 3.4 MVA at Somanga Gas Power Plant.
3.Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Tendering Procedures as specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 and its Regulations, 2013 read together with Public Procurement (Amendment) Act and Regulations of 2016 and is open to all bidders as defined in the Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Document at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, TANESCO Umeme Park Building, Ground Floor, Tender Room, Ubungo area, along Morogoro Road, P.O.BOX 9024 Dar es Salaam. Telephone +255 222 210 267 from 09:00 Hrs to 16:00 Hrs on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
5. A Complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph five (4) above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100,000.00 (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand only) through National Microfinance Bank
(NMB) upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO.
6. All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
7. All tenders in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked “TENDER No. PA/001/2017-18/HQ/G/89 FOR SUPPLY INSTALLATION TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF NEW ALTERNATOR 3.4 MVA AT SOMANGA GAS POWER PLANT )” (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE TUESDAY 19th March, 2019 at 10:30 Hrs) must be delivered to the SECRETARY, TANESCO TENDER BOARD P.O. BOX 9024, DAR ES SALAAM to reach him at the office of the Secretary Tender Board, TANESCO Office, Ground floor, TANESCO Tender Room, Umeme Park Building Ubungo on or before Tuesday 19th March, 2019 at 10:30Hrs.
8. Deadline for submission will be on Tuesday 19th March, 2019 , at 10:30 Hrs. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening in the Tender Room located at Ground floor, TANESCO Office, Umeme Park Building, Morogoro Road – Ubungo.
9. A compulsory Site visiting and pre-bid meeting of the same shall be conducted on Thursday 28th February, 2019 at Somanga Gas Power Plant and the cost of visiting the site shall be at the tenderers own expense
10. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders no opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
