REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND SCADA/EMS SYSTEM
INVITATION FOR PRE – QUALIFICATION
Date: June, 2019
1. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) through the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received and obtained financing from the French Development Agency (AFD) to Rehabilitate and/or Upgrade the TANESCO Electricity Grid Network.
2. TANESCO therefore, intends to pre – qualify contractors and/or firms for design, manufacturing/supply, delivery, demolition, construction, disassembling, field erection, testing, provision of spare parts, commissioning, placing into successful commercial operation, training, warranty on EPC basis and offering part financing together with its offer of goods and services for TANESCO Grid Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project.
3. The Scope of work involves:-
Rehabilitation and Upgrade of Telecommunication Equipment and SCADA/EMS System.
4. Pre-qualification will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding method as specified in the Public procurement Regulations,-Government Notice 446 of 2013 read together with Public Procurement (Amendment) Regulations G.N. No. 333 of 2016 and is open to all applicants as defined in the regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Document at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, TANESCO Umeme Park Building, Ground Floor, Tender Room, Room No.G04, Ubungo area, along Morogoro Road, P.O.BOX 9024 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Telephone + 255 782 376 147 from 09:00 Local Hours to 16:00 Local Hours on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Documents may be purchased by interested Tenderers upon submission of a written application to the above address given under paragraph 5 and upon payment of a non – refundable fee of Euro. 120.00 (Euro One Hundred twenty only) or equivalent amount in Tanzanian shillings through National Microfinance Bank (NMB) upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO.

7. The Tender Documents will be forwarded to tenderer upon proof of payment, the tenderer shall transmit a copy of Bank Payment Slip and his e – mail address to the following e – mail [email protected] and [email protected].
8. All tenders in One (1) original plus Five (5) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENDER No. PA/001/2018-19/HQ/W/040 FOR PREQUALIFICATION OF EPC CONTRACTORS FOR PROCUREMENT OF PLANT DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING UNDER TANESCO TRANSMISSION GRID REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE PROJECT (TTGRUP) FOR REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND SCADA/EMS SYSTEM” – (Not to be opened before 10:30 Local Hours on Friday, 19, July, 2019) must be delivered on or before 19, July, 2019 to the address: Secretary Tender Board, TANESCO, Ground Floor, Room No. G.04, Umeme Park Building Ubungo, Morogoro Road, P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Box 9024, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
9. Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received and Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
