MAJOR REHABILITATION OF TRANSFORMERS T6 AND T7 INCLUDING SERVICE OF ABB TAP CHANGERS AT UBUNGO SUBSTATION

INVITATION FOR TENDERS

The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during Financial year 2019-2020 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of its funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.

TANESCO now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderer for carrying out the Major Rehabilitation of Transformers T6 and T7 Including Service of ABB T ap Changers at Ubungo Substation.

Tendering will be conducted through International Competitive Tendering procedures as specified in the Procurement Regulations of 2013 Government Notice No.446 as amended in 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, Room No. G 04, TANESCO, Umeme Park Building, Ubungo, along Morogoro Road, PO. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 222 210 264; 210 267 from 092th to 16.00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application with contact details to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS 100,000.00 or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency excluding bank charges. Payment should be made through National Microfinance Bank Account payable to TANESCO upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO Head Office or Regional Offices for local applicants; for foreign applicants payment shall be made through the following accounts:

Those who purchased the bidding document will not be required to purchase it again.

All Tenders must be accompanied by original Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in section IX of the Tender Document.

All Tenders in One (1) original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary Tender Board, TANESCO, Ground floor Room No. G 04, Umeme Park Building Ubungo. Morogoro Road, PO. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam, Telephone No. +255 222 210 264; 210 267 the envelopes clearly marked “TENDER No. PA/001/2019-20/HQ/N/42 FOR MAJOR REHABILITATION OF TRANSFORMERS T6 AND T7 INCLUDING SERVICE OF ABB TAP CHANGERS AT UBUNGO SUBSTATION (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 10230 Hours on 27^th December, 2019)”to reach him at Tender room, Room No. 604 not later than at or before 10:30 Hours 27^th December, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Conference Room located at Ground Floor, TANESCO, Umeme Park Building, Morogoro Road Ubungo Dar es Salaam.

Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, and Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.

A Compulsory Site Visit and Pre-tender meeting of the Same shall be Conducted on Friday 13^th  December. 2019 at 09:30 am.. At TANESCO Ubungo Substation Dar es Salaam and the cost of visiting the site will be tenderers’ own expenses
