JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT FOR REPLANTING RUBBER PLANTATION AND INTERCROPPING OF SPICES
REQUEST FOR FIRMS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
- THE Revolutionary Government Of Zanzibar owns and maintains 1270 hectors of rubber plantation which were established between 1977 and 1982 for the purpose of the supporting Zanzibar government economic development
- The existing rubber plantations are matured and under unsatisfactory management therefore the Roz THROUGH THE Ministry of Agriculture Natural resources and Livestock and fisheries seek to work with private sectors in strategic joint venture agreement for the replanting rubber plantation and inter crop with spices and other high value crops
- It is this ground that RoZ wishes to engage a qualified bidder/strategic investor to present their expression of interest for joint venture
- The scope of this assignment will include but not limited to harvest existing rubber plants sequent replant for the farms with new rubber seedling and intercrop with spices and other high value crops on the land demarcated for rubber plantation and link to available market in a commercial basis in order to maximize income of stakeholders
- The ministry now invites eligible qualified form to express their interest by representing a clear precise work plan work schedule, team composition, task assignment and staffing schedule(in harvesting for existing rubber plants logging and replanting intercropping) indicate details of the organization and experience technical approach methodology and allows the RoZ to racially understanding evaluate e proposal
- Firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the public procurement and disposal of public asset act no 11 of 2016
- In assessing the submission consideration will be given to the technical competence of the relevant agriculture firms the qualifications and experience of the firm’s likely proposed for the assignment experience on similar projects and capacity to undertake the assignment. A final list of firms invited to submit proposal for this assignment will be prepared from firms responding to this notice. Only strategic firms with demonstrated experience and excellent track records in similar assignment will be considered for short listing
- This is not request for proposals after review of the letter of interest a short listing will be prepared and shortlisted firms will be invited to submit their proposal through a letter of invitation including specific terms of reference
- The expression of interest shall be submitted to the secretary ministerial tender board, Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Live stock and fisheries P.O. BOX 159 ZANZIBAR. The deadline for the submission of the EoI is 28th July 2020 at 14:00 envelopes containing the expression of interest shall be clearly marked tender no SMZ/RP/C/OQ/2020.2021/01JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT FOR REPLANTING RUBBER PLANTATION AND INTERCROPING OF SPICES
- The Expression of interest will be opened immediately after deadline for submission in public and in the presence of firms representatives who selected to attend in the conference room of the Ministry of Agriculture Maruhubi Street Zanzibar
- Any request for clarification with regard to this assignment shall be addressed to Principal Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Livestock and Fisheries P.O. - The client shall respond to clarification received not less than 2 days before the deadline for submission
- late expression of interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
