Invitation to Members of the Public for introduce the IIP RMNCAH-N Project and its Environmental and social Risk Management Documents

The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, through Ministry of Health is preparing the investing in people project on reproductive mother, child health and nutrition (IP RMNCAHLEN) project with the support of the World Bank. The objective of the project to improve coverage and quality of RMNCAHL N and other Early Childhood Developmental services in Zanzibar,

The project will be implemented in all five regions in Zanzibar (Urban West region, South region Unguja, North region Unguja, South Region Pemba and North Region Pemba) and will support to. strengthen coordination and provision of RMNCAH-N services and enhance institutional capacity to manage project supported activities. The Ministry has prepared all the necessary Environmental and Social Risk Management documents for the project. These documents are Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF), Stakeholders Engagement Plan (SEP), Labour Management Procedure (LMP) and

Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP).

The Ministry of Health is now inviting all potential stakeholders to attend the consultation forum to be held on the 23″ of May 2022 for Pemba and 24 – 25″ of May for Unguja. The consultation meetings will be held at Gombani for Pemba and Kariakoo hall starting from 09:00am.

The objective of the forum to introduce the project and its environmental and social risk management documents to the public and all the stockholders and panther comments improvement.

All necessary information on the project including the environmental and social risk management documents and their respective

executive summaries in both English and Swahili languages will be available during the consultation forum on the respective date.

All the member of the Public and stockholders who wish to submit their written comments on the HP RMNCAH-N project are invited to do so through the address below.
