INVITATION FOR TENDERS (IFT)
16th July 2019
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in Tanzania Procurement Journal dated 11th June 2019.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Rural and Urban Road Agency (TARURA) Singida Region during the financial year 2019/2020 for Routine/Recurrent Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, Spot Improvement, bridge repair and Installation of Culverts on various Rural and Urban Roads within the Region. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the upgrading of various roads as described in a table below:
3. The Regional Coordinator Tanzania Rural and Urban Road Agency (TARURA) Singida on behalf of The Chief Executive TARURA, now invites sealed tenders from the eligible civil contractors Registered by Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in classes shown in the table below.
4. Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Tendering (NCT) specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 and Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and its amendment of 2016 of Government Notice no. 333 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of Delegated
TARURA Regional Tender Board, Singidani Complex, NHC Block , 3rd
Floor, P.O. Box 539, Singida, from 08.00 to 15.30 hours on Mondays to
Fridays inclusive, except on Public holidays.
5. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Hundred Thousand Only (Tshs 100,000/=). Payment should be payable Subject to confirmation of payment Control number issued by Regional Coordinator Office TARURA –SINGIDA. Prospective Tenderer may obtain further information direct from Regional Coordinator’s Office, Singidani Complex, NHC Block , 3rd Floor.
6. A Tenders in One original plus Three (3) copies, dully marked “ORIGINAL” and “COPY” properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary of Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, Singidani Complex, NHC block, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 539, Singida, at or before 10:30 hours on Tuesday, 30th July, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Regional Coordinator’s TARURA, Singidani Complex, NHC Block.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
8. Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
