TANZANIA SISAL BOARD IS INVITING POTENTIAL SISAL BUYER TO BID IN BUYING SISAL FIBRE UNDER SISAL CATALOGUE NO 02/2020 FROM SMALL HOLDER FARMERS COOPERATIVE IN 5 ESTATE OF HALE, MAGOMA, MAGUNGA, MWELYA AND GOMBEZI
INTRODUCTION
A bid is open for buying sisal fibre from agricultural and marketing cooperative society in 5 estate namely Hale, Magoma, Magunga, gombezi and Mwelya. The AMCOS formed under cooperative Act No 6 of 2013 in these estate have capacity to producing at least 300 tons of fibre per months with grade ratio of 3L(2%, UG 70%, SSUG 21%, TOW I 5% % TOW II 2%)
Qualification
- Shall have a valid sisal trade license issued by Tanzania sisal board
- Should not have any history of fibre consignments purchase or delivery complains
- Should have ready to enter into contract to purchase sisal fibre from AMCOS for period of 6 months from the date of winning the tender
- Should be ready to honor the contract of purchase sisal fiber
- Should be able to purchase all the sisal fibre produced by AMCOS as described
- ld know how to classify grades of sisal fiber
- should be ready to buy the sisal fibre not below the market price
TERMS OF CONDITIONS
- the application should be accompanied by current bank statement with a minimum balance of TZS 1.5 Billion should specify at the time submission of this bid
- the bidders should specify prices for all fibre grades as narrated Above
- the specified prices for all fibre grades shall not include other taxes charge district council
- all payments to AMCOS shall based on the amount and grades as will be stipulated on the invoice presented by respective AMCOS for the sisal ready for shipment
- successful bidders shall be responsible to transport all the fibre consignment paid in full to his storage premises as shown in the invoice issued respective AMCOS with 5 days
- Successful bidders shall sign a contract with AMCOS and shall pay bid security of 20% of the value of the months bid with 5 days from the date of winning the tender. Failure to effect the 20 % payments of the bid security within the specified period will nullify the successful bidder and the said bidder shall not be allowed to apply to other bid
- The bid application shall be accompanied with a non refundable fee deposit slip amounting 500,00 paid into Tanzania Sisal Board Bank account number 01J1044762800 AT CRDB Bank Tanga (SWIFT CODE COURTZTZ)
- The sealed document should be submitted in tender box placed Tanga Regional Commissioner Office(2nd floor) the application should register and sign on the tender registration book available during working hours days from 22th June – 14th July 2020 from 8:00-03:00 PM
- Te bids will be opened publicly on 14th July 2020 at 03:00 PM Tanga Regional Commissioner Office in the presence of AMCOS officials and bidders or their representatives
