FOR
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, PERIODIC MAINTENANCE, SPOT IMPROVEMENT, UPGRADING, REHABILITATION AND OPENING UP WORKS ON VARIOUS TRUNK AND REGIONAL ROADS (CYCLE II).
INVITATION FOR TENDERS

1. This Invitation for Tenders Follows the General Procurement Notice for those Projects which appeared in Daily News ISSN 2665-069X No. 076, TANROADS Website and PPRA Portal Journal on 28th May, 2019 for Maintenance Works and Those which appeared in TANROADS Website and PPRA Portal Journal on 10th July, 2019 For Development Works.
2. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) – Ruvuma Region during the FY 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Routine Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, Spot Improvement, Upgrading, Rehabilitation and Opening up Works on Various Trunk and Regional Roads.
3. TANROADS Regional Manager – Ruvuma on behalf of the Chief Executive,
TANROADS now invites sealed Tenders from eligible National Civil contractors registered with the Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in Classes Specified in the table below for Routine Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, Spot Improvement, Upgrading, Rehabilitation and Opening up Works on Various Trunk and Regional Roads. The estimated quantities for major Work’s items for the above mentioned tenders to be implemented for different periods are outlined below:
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering (NCT) Procedures, specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Services and disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and is open to National Tenderers only as defined in Regulation.
5. Interested Eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tender Documents at the office of the Regional Manager-TANROADS Ruvuma, P. O. Box 31 Songea from 8.00 am to 4.30pm on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
6. A Complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English Language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderer on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of non –refundable fee of TZS. 150,000/= (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Fifty Thousand Only) for Tenders Number AE/001/2019-20/RV/W/ 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 20, 21, 26, 28, 32, 35 and 36
and A non –refundable fee of TZS. 200,000/= (Tanzania Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only) for Tenders Number AE/001/2019-20/RV/W/ 12, 30, 42, 44, 46, 47, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55 and 56. Payment should be made by Government Electronic Payment Gate way (GePG). Subject to Confirmation of payment control Number Issued by Regional Manager TANROADS –Ruvuma.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents, Notarized Power of Attorney and Board Resolution Minutes
8. All tenders in one original plus Two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelops must be delivered to the following address: The Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, P. O. Box 31 Songea before 10:00 hrs local time on 23rd August, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderer’s representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Regional Manager’s Office, Ruvuma Region.
9. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, tender not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance
