Invitation for Pre-qualification Of
Civil contractors at Dar es Salaam and Coast Zone

This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the PPRA Portal of 30lh August, 2019
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited has set aside funds towards the cost of the supply of building materials, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to payments under the contract for pre-qualification of civil contractors under Tender No. PA/ 001 / 2019-20/ DZN/ W/ 10. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited intends to pre-qualify Applicants for civil works at Dar es Salaam and Coast zone.
The Tanzania electric Supply Company Limited intends to pre-qualify civil contractors firms with class 5 and above to undertake civil works at Dar es Salaam and Coast Zone.
Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specified in Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice 446 of 2013, and is open to all applicants as defined in the Regulations.
Interested applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification documents at the office of Secretary of the Delegated Zone Tender Board, TANESCODSM & COAST Zone P. O. Box 2233 Dar es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 22 2133332 from 09: 00hrs to 16:00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS: 50,000 or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency payment should be made through TANESCO Bank account.
All applications one original plus three copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCODSM & COAST Zone Ministry of Energy and Minerals SAMORA AVENUE P.O. Box 2233 Dar Es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 22 2133332, at or Before 10.30 hours (Local Time) on Thursday 31st December, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tendere ’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening Ceremony at TANESCO Zonal Office; Ministry of Energy and Minerals Building, Fourth Floor:, Room No. 414.
Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received and Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
