ASSIGNMENT TITTLE: PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY REGROW – FINANCED INFRASTRUCTURE FOR NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

1. The government of Tanzania has received financing from the world bank towards the cost of the resilient natural resources management for tourism and growth project and intends to apply of the proceed for consulting services
2. The consulting services (the service) are expected to cover environmental and social impact assessment for road network building infrastructure for staff and tourism activities rehabilitation of airstrip inside Matambwe area Nyerer National Park. the duration of the assignment is expected to be 6 months
3. TANAPA invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services, interested consultancy should provide information demonstrating that they have required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The short listing criteria are
   i. Experience in similar assignment
   ii. Experience in similar condition
   iii. Availability of appropriate skills (technical and managerial) among permanent staff of the firm
4. The attention of interested consultancy is drawing to paragraph 1.9 of the world bank guidelines selection and employment consultants under IRBD Loans and IDA Credits and grants by world bank borrowers dates January 2011 revised July 2014 (consulting service) setting forth the world bank policy on conflicts interest
5. Consultancy may associate with other firms in the form of joint venture or sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications
6. A consultancy will be selected in accordance with quality and cost based selection method set out in the consultancy guidelines
