ENGAGEMENT OF PRIVATE OPERATION IN OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF RULAR WATER SERVICES PROJECTS
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

1. The RUWASA have been mandated by the water supply and sanitation ACT NO. 5 of 2019 to manage the entire water services provision in rural parts of mainland Tanzania. At community lever water services provision is managed by legal established organizations known as community based water services organization (CBWSO’s). these organization are formed registered and regulated by RUWASA
Traditionally the private sector has been extensively involved in design and construction of water services project at different level, effort to enhance efficiently and effectiveness of organization and services. RUWASA intends to expand involved of private sector in provision of water services through strategic collaboration with CBWSOs in operation and maintenance of services and infrastructure at community levels for the financial year 2019/2020
2. The main objectives of this excursive is to invite private service provider interested in entering into a long-term concession – style contact with preferably group of CBWSOs
3. The scope of service shall include but not limited to the following activities
i. System operation and maintenance
ii. Revenue collection
iii. Rehabilitation replacement and expansion
iv. Annual budget and planning
4. This is therefore to invite eligible and qualified potential private service providers to indicate their interest in providing the specified services. The interest private service providers must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service by submitting their profiles, description of similar assignments, experience in similar condition and availability of appropriate skills among staff
5. A private provider will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the public procurement regulation – government notice no. 446 of 2013 together with their amends of 2016. The shortlisting will be based on the required capabilities and experiences
6. Interested eligible private service providers may obtain further information from the office of the secretary Tender Board NCB Bank 2nd floor 2 PMU Office, P.O. BOX 412 Kuu Road Dodoma from 9.30 AM Monday to Friday 3.00 PM Inclusive except public holidays
7. Expression of interest in one original plus 2 copies must be enclosed in sealed envelopes properly addressed and delivered to the secretary Tender Board, NBC Bank 2nd floor 2 PMU Office P.O. BOX 412 Kuu Road 40473 Dodoma at or before 11.30 am 27 March 2020. The envelopes containing EoI Must be clearly marked Expression of Interest Engagement of Private Operation in Operation and maintenance of rular water service project
8. Late submission shall not be evaluated irrespective of the circumstances
