International Competitive Selection
1.This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared in Daily News Issue no. 976510002 dated 1St July 2019.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Marine Services Company Limited during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT OF; (A)WORKS CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ONE VESSEL AND (B) COMPLETION WORKS FOR SLIPWAY CONSTRUCTION IN LAKE VICTORIA.
3. The Marine Services Company Limited now invites eligible ”firms” to indicate their interest in providing the services which include CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT OF; (A) WORKS CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ONE VESSEL AND (B) COMPLETION WORKS FOR SLIPWAY CONSTRUCTION IN LAKE VICTORIA. Interested ”firms “must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants ”may associate to enhance their qualifications.
4. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 (PPA 2011) as amended in 2016 and the Public Procurement Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No. 446 of 201 3 as amended in 2016 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
5. Selection will be conducted through the ”Quality and Cost Based” selection procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
6. 7. Expressions of Interest (Eol) must be delivered to the address below; Chief Executive Officer, Marine Services Company Limited, Mwanza North Port, TPA Building2nd Floor, PO BOX 2385 Mwanza, Tanzania East Africa between 0800 and 1630hrs on Monday to Friday from 18’h September, 2019 and the deadline will be on 8th October, 2019 at 1400hrs.
8. Late Expressions of interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
