DISPOSAL OF USED MOTOR VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES

Introduction

1. NMB Bank PLC (the “Bank’) is a fully-fledged commercial bank listed at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange in Tanzania and has consistently been the most profitable Bank in the country over the years. The Bank offers banking services to individuals, small to medium sized businesses, large corporate clients, and government. The Bank has an extensive physical and digital distribution network, giving its clients choices in accessing banking services.

2. The Bank intends to dispose its eleven (11) used motor vehicles and four (4) motorcycles. The motor vehicles and motorcycles are being disposed on “as is, where is” basis and the Bank shall have no further liability after the sale.

3. The Bank now invites sealed tenders for purchase of eleven (11) motor vehicles and four (4) motorcycles. The descriptions of the said items are as listed below and are available for viewing and inspection on weekdays 5th, 6th and 8th July 2022 from 11am to 1pm at their respective locations in various areas across the country as per below table:

a} The Used motor vehicles and motorcycles are sold strictly on ‘AS IS’ and “WHERE IS’ basis and the Bank shall not be responsible for undertaking any repairs that may be required.
b) All bids must be quoted in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and must be submitted with fixed offer. Bidders who offer certain percentages of amounts over any other bidder will not be considered.
C) Hand delivered bids shall be deposited at the “TENDER BOX” located on the ground floor, near the reception desk of Head Office, NMB Head Office at the junction of Ohio/Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road.
d) All bidders are required to deposit 20% of the bid price through account No. 101-214010003 NMB Head Office these will be refunded to all unsuccessful bidders.
e) Application not drawn in the prescribed format, not accompanied by 20% deposits, not presented in the manner prescribed is liable for rejection.
f) All applicants must indicate proper address, emails, contact phone numbers and details of their bank account numbers in their application letters.
g) The closing date for receiving bids is 1500 Hours on Thursday 14″ July 2022 and all bids will be opened in public at a tender opening ceremony that will be held at the first floor, NMB Head Office located at Ohio/Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road on the closing date of the bids.
h) Successful bidders will be informed of the results immediately after the decision made by the Bank.
i) Successful bidders shall pay the balance of tender/bid price amount within 7 days after being
informed of the results.
j) The buyer/s shall be fully responsible for paying taxes and any other charges that may arise from purchase of motor vehicles and/Motorcycles.
k) The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject bids and the right to make the final decision concerning this sale of motor vehicles and or motorcycles.
h) Successful bidder must collect the awarded item within 14 days from the date of full payment.
m} All bids should be submitted in plain, sealed envelope(s), clearly marked ‘Tender for Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles’ and posted or hand delivered to:
