CONSULTANCY: HIGH-LEVEL RENEWABLE ENERGY FINANCING SENSITIZATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING TO TANZANIA BANKERS ASSOCIATION CEOS”
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1961 that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment. The mission of WWF is to stop degradation of the planet’s natural environment by conserving biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption, through cooperation with local communities to secure sustainable and resilient rural livelihoods as a key conservation approach with energy and climate change adaptation and mitigation as a cross cutting approach in all programs.
WWF Tanzania has secured some limited resources under Africa Energy Transition (AET) Project and would like to use the resources to conduct a high-level capacity building to Tanzania CEQs of financial institutions particularly from the bank’s perspective on Renewable Energy financing in collaboration with Africa Sustainable Infrastructure (ASI) Project, with the objective of increasing financial flows and investments from private sector and banks for renewable energy development projects in Tanzania.
Terms of Reference (ToRs) has been prepared that will guide the technical expertise on the requirement for this assignment. The ToR requires the consultant(s) to design and develop a tailored high-level sensitization and capacity building training to Tanzania Bankers Association (TBA) CEO members. The long-term goal is that Tanzania commercial banks are effectively developing renewable energy financial models and products for public and private sector investment in Tanzania.
