MM Connect Limited is a fast-growing private limited company incorporated under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania with its registered offices at Banana, Kipunguni ‘A’ in Dar es Salaam. The company is in a franchise partnership with Vodacom Tanzania Limited in the retail, distribution, enterprises and M-Commerce businesses operating across multiple regions in Tanzania. We are therefore calling for applicants to submit their application for consideration in various opening in sales roles for the next year human resource manpower for our office located in different regions in Tanzania. The applicant must be skilled, motivated, result-oriented and self-driven candidate with high integrity, retail business analytical skills and with the ability to work under pressure. 

 

Position: Sales Executive (Multiple positions)

Report to: Shop Manager/Service Desk Manager 

Duty Station: Lake, South-West and Central region

Department: Retail  

Closing Date: November 25, 2021 (2300hrs E.A.T)

 

Role Purpose 


The incumbent will provides retail sales advice, hunting new customers who need Vodacom sim-cards and Vodafasta vendors’ recruitment, administration and delivers product sales and services directly to the end customers by matching the products and services to the needs of each customer through the Vodacom retail network in line with Retail Sales standards and procedures agreed between MM Connect and Vodacom. The incumbent has to possess a good understanding of established policies and processes in Retail Sales and store management and works with the colleagues in the store and outside the store to interact directly with customers and focus on increasing sales, exceeding sales target, and elevating the customer experience with Vodacom.

 

Major Responsibilities

       Provides product advice and delivers exceptional sales experience, developing customer loyalty;

       Thoroughly understands Retail Sales policies and procedures through acquired experience, and informs customers accordingly to ensure a high level of customer experience;

       Delivers store based activities, including end-to-end sales, customer services and store management responsibilities;

       May conduct reporting, stock-taking, audits and product launches and other store related activities that enable the store to run effectively;

       Builds trusting relationships with the customer base and represents the brand;

       Uses communication skills to ensure effective collaboration across channels, and with other stores engages with the local community and businesses (e.g shopping centre, events, local charities/schools) and acts as an ambassador;

       Delivers tasks related to advocacy of Self-Serve and Digital-First for solving non-complicated service situations;

       Supports and educates the customer around setting up/using their device, assist with technical queries and diagnose and organize repair of faulty devices;

       Identifies cross/upsell opportunities;  

       Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the manager or resulting from assigned senior;

       May support in coaching and developing a store team to exceed store performance targets;

 

General requirements:

       Applicant must not exceed 27 years old.

       Certificate up to bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

       Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong report skills, including both standardized and ad hoc reporting.

       The applicant should be ready to work in rural areas and/or upcountry “(Please do not apply if not interested to work in rural)”

       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

       Strong negotiations and interpersonal skills

       Delivering results and meeting customer expectations

       Pro-active way of thinking, team player, and quick learner with the ability to cope with pressure Applicants should be aware of Vodacom products/services.

       The ability to drive with a clean Class C driving license will be an added advantage.
