Vacancy – Marketing Manager (Online Taxi Hailing Service)

OUR CLIENT

Our client, a global Transport company offering digital tax hailing solution  is seeking to fill the position of Marketing Manager in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with a suitably qualified and competent professional with experience in leading all marketing activities while managing and inspiring a marketing  team for online taxi-hailing application.

THE JOB

The Marketing Manager will be tasked with ;

i.   Growing the brand

ii.Lleading day-to-day marketing activities,

iii.  Strategy formulation and implementation,

iv. Ensuring tight deadlines are achieved

v.   Coming up with solutions for rapidly changing customer needs for the Online Taxi Hailing Service.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities;

1. As a mrketing team member, develop hyper-local marketing strategy, ensure alignment of regional activities with global brand strategy.

2. Driving user growth by creating and executing offline growth campaigns with local partners and vendors, organize and manage region-specific events and partnerships to improve brand awareness, user acquisition (Application download & registration) and attention.

3. Manage and coordinate localization of relevant content in partnership with the global localization team, as well as creating individual market/ regional-specific content when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications;

a)      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or similar, and a demonstrated ability in quantitative fields. Those with an MBA will have an added advantage

b)      3-5 years of generalist marketing experience, preferably in the technology & internet field.

c)      Fluency in Swahili and business level written and spoken English

d)      Target age 35 to 40.

b)      Good relationship management as you will engage with partners across several different functions as well as global marketing colleagues, and external agencies and partners in order to be successful.

c)      Able to operate in a performance driven organization.

d)      Good interpersonal skills.

e)      Ability to work flexibly and effectively under pressure

f)       Having a knack at problem solving
