Transport And Logistics Officer at Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd


Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd (MHCL) is a company owned by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Prisons Corporation Sole (PCS). The Company was established on 6th September 2016. The main objective of the company is to undertake production of sugar in Tanzania. To start with, MHCL plans to develop two sugar estates in Morogoro region of which one will be located at Mkulazi area, Morogoro District (Mkulazi Estate) and the other in Mbigiri, Dakawa in Kilosa District (Mbigiri Estate).

The company wishes to invite competent, qualified, experienced and dedicated young Tanzanians to fill in the vacancy positions currently available in the company and WOMEN ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THESE POSITIONS as follows:


Position Title:  Transport And Logistics Officer (1post)  

The Transport and Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing Company vehicles, ensuring efficient use of resources and coordinating field travel. He/she shall be reporting to Administrative Officer.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Develop weekly/monthly field travel schedules, coordinating between company’s staff and drivers to allocate use of vehicles available; Supervises Drivers; Under the guidance of the Administrative Officer, manage the pool of vehicles including their service, repair and maintenance; Ensure vehicles have valid insurances; drivers have valid permits; insurance claims are processed in a timely; maintenance and servicing is achieved in a timely manner; Monitor vehicle log books on a weekly basis; Keep track of fuel card utilization for each vehicle and make monthly reconciliation of bills and vehicle records; and Perform other lawful duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Experience and knowledge:

Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Transport logistics obtained from National Institute of Transportation (NIT); 5-7 years’ experience working as Transport and Logistics/Fleet Officer; Demonstrated ability to work in teams; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, particularly as related to report development; Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with excellent MS Word and Excel skills



Salaries and related fringe benefits for the advertised posts will be paid in accordance with the Staff Regulations and Conditions of Service, 2019.

General condition: all applicants should have accomplished Secondary School Education and possess an Ordinary Certificate or an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or Its equivalent and should not be above 45 years of age.
