Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- HIV Testing Services (NACP) at Ministry of Health (MOHCDGEC)


Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) with financial support from CDC/PEPFAR is looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:




Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- HIV Testing Services (1 Position)

Location: Dodoma

Reporting to: Head Strategic Information Unit – NACP.


Duties and Responsibilities:


1.   Participate in program planning activities that impact on HIV Testing Services (HTS) such as follow up on access to HIV testing

2.   Review of Monitoring and Evaluation HIV Testing Services standard operating procedures, investment case on electronic data capture, storage and reporting, development of M&E training materials


·      Coordinate HTS

1.   Participate and take a leading role in overseeing data collection into all testing points in twenty-six regions of Tanzania Mainland; HTS data analysis and interpretation to inform the programming

2.   Coordinate and participate into the training and/or refresher-training of Training of Trainees (TOTs) for HTS, each region hosts these TOTs and liaise with HIV Testing implementing

Experience and Qualifications:


1.   Degree in Medicine or related health degree

2.   Post graduate degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or public health or Statistics or Epidemiology is an added

·      Good interpersonal and leadership skills

1.   Computer literacy will be an added

2.   Three years working experience in Monitoring and

3.   Strong communication including proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages and computer

·      Age limit: 50

Terms of Employment: 7 months Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds).
