Community and Communication Officer (NACP) at Ministry of Health (MOHCDGEC)

 



Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) with financial support from CDC/PEPFAR is looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:

 

NATIONAL AIDS CONTROL PROGRAM (NACP)

 

Job TitleCommunity and Communication Officer (1 Position)

Location: Dodoma

Reporting to: Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV Coordinator.


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.   Coordinate various Community and Communication based elimination of Mother to Child Transmission (eMTCT) interventions in collaboration with RHMTs/CHMTs and

2.   Conduct supportive for PMTCT community interventions for trained CHWs to oversee the linkages between community and facility-based health

·      Oversee PMTCT activities implemented by

 

1.   Organize and support activities related to revision of guidelines, training package and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) & Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC)

2.   Organize and facilitate Technical Working Group meetings with PMTCT partners especially who implement community eMTCT

3.   Assist preparation and dissemination of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual PMTCT reports.

·      Participate in developing PMTCT planning document and develop Country Operational Plans (COP).

·      Budget for various supporting partners (Example CDC, GF ).

Experience and Qualifications:

 

1.   Degree in Social Sciences with Diploma or degree in Health Promotion

2.   Post graduate degree in Public Health is an added

·      Good interpersonal and leadership skills

1.   Computer literacy will be an added

2.   Three years working experience in community

3.   Strong communication including proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages and computer

·      Age limit: 50

Terms of Employment: 7 months Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds).
