Job Title Retail Sales Manager
Position Reporting Managing Director

Job Objectives
• To focus on Retail Sales, Operations and Marketing to deliver the aspired Budget; ensuring that strategy, network, marketing, etc., are managed in the appropriate way, which supports the achievement of short and long term objectives.
• Manages the functional Support Teams (Sales, Ops, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.).

Detailed task list
• Interfaces with the Retail team and manages day to day sales activities.
• • Supervise sales staff, manage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
o Set yearly objectives, monitor performance
o Make staff recommendations as required
o Schedule work assignments
• • Translating marketing plans into action plans and fully owns implementation of the plans including timelines, budget and overall integration and efficiency
• • Continuously monitors implementation of plans, intervenes when plan timelines are not being met, updates Managing Director on Budget performance, and resolves under-performance when necessary
• • Distributes budget for all marketing activity, planned or unplanned, ensuring activities are in line with marketing targets, budget plans and accountabilities are understood and executable.
• • Translates fuels pricing strategy into a consistent and specific local level pricing strategy, ensuring achievement of margin and volume targets specified in the marketing plan.
• • Monitors compliance with pricing strategy across all classes of trade within area of responsibility.
• • Be responsible and proactive in HSEQ issues that affect retails sites, individual, the office/field environment and their customers.
• • Sensitize retail stations on HSEQ related issues especially with regard to storage and handling of petroleum products with regards to prevailing company procedures
• • Be accountable for own development plan to continuously improve competencies
• • Retail stations and Super dealers Management

Knowledge and Experience Required
Education Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Law, Communication and/or Business Administration

• • Manage activities with a high level of organisation
• • Experience in Oil Industry will be an added advantage.
Years Experience
• 4-6 years minimum previous sales experience and/or have OMC experience.
