Position: Hospital Administrator (1 position)
Working Station: WAJA specialized hospital in Geita Town

Personality traits often play a key role in an individual’s ability to attain Hospital goals.

The applicant must possess such individual characteristics as integrity, strong character, stability, dependability, initiative, decisiveness and ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas, strong management skills, and involvement in professional and community However the job of hospital administrator requires a myriad of practical skills, qualities and knowledge for success

Duties and responsibilities
o Organize, supervise, coordinate and control all areas of health services – including human resources, finance, information technology and
o Recruit, interview, hire, encourage staff – development for quality
o As a liaison between governing boards, clinical staff members and policies so that departments function as a
o Attending board meetings, public health councils, and professional

Necessary skills
o Ability to process and analyze the information received from staff and use what is learnt in improving and maintaining operations within the hospital
o Ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to other health professionals and familiarize with new laws and
o Organizing, maintaining, scheduling and billing information for the Hospital.
o Being responsible for finding creative solutions to administrative challenges such as Likewise ability to appoint, instruct, lead and motivate staff.
o Ability to make goals and expectations clear to the doctors, nurses and other medical staff

Technical skills
Stay current on advances in health care technology and data analytics. Ability to handle
Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems eg. Hospital Management system.

Possession of a minimum
o Bachelor in Health systems Management or
o Post Graduate of Hospital

Field experience: A minimum of 2 years working experience in a reputable Hospital OR Health care projects.
