Terminal Manager - CBURE11

Responsible to support operation in creating and enabling the deployment of device portfolio strategy and enhancing the device business performance in our market. This includes processes such as investigating, testing and selecting new devices and preloaded applications that will positively impact the bottom line.
In terms of results we expect a clear device strategy that is captures market specifics but leverages Tanzania footprint to achieve economies of scale, marketing synergies and faster time to market. The device strategy is enabling through clear value addition to the broader commercial and strategic targets.

A. Device Portfolio Strategy.
 Build Device Strategy based on market and consumer insight but also aiming to optimize the device costs, across all segments and categories to contribute strategic goals.
 Provide deep knowledge and industry expertise of device business, thought leadership
 insights to design, develop, and implement the strategic plan
 Achieve profitable growth and to continuously improve the device performance.
 Contribute to meet usage, Data user’s acquisition, penetration and consumer satisfaction goals.

B. Device research
 Lead device research aimed at increasing penetration of Smartphones and their data usage.
 Collaborate with Consumer Understanding/Marketing Research team to review and use existing customer insights to improve device selection and application penetration.
 Develop strong relationship with brands, to create, evaluate and analyze new business ideas, new product and new process and product improvement.

C. Test and Certificate
 Lead the implementation of market homologation and testing of devices process, including the consumer quality of experience.
 Lead the application pre installation process.
 Work with vendors and application developers to insure quality and fast device roll out.
 Co-Responsible for Time to market and device roll out.

D. Business Performance.
 Co-Responsible of ARPU and marginal contribution of devices and Data revenue
 Responsible for Smartphones and MBBs penetration.
 Validate forecast assumptions for device purchase process.
 Track phone customer evolution, penetration and application usage.
 Manage Vodacom and OEM profitable relations
 Support 3rd part devices business to bring more value to Vodacom business.
 Manage subsidy budget and process and ensure return on investment.

E. Continuous Improvement (Business Knowledge)
 Develop business knowledge, customer insight, innovation initiative, and market trend.
 Support pre-loading of in-house built Apps.
 Owner of the S & OP process.

• Bachelor degree of Business Administration or minimum Business Diploma in sales or equivalent training in business or sales management.
• At least 3 years working experience in sales.
• Swahili & English (fluent)

• Operational Management – experience with management of large front-line teams.
• Strong selling skills
• Stakeholder engagement – delivery of results through key stakeholders and partners.
• Customer focused – solid understanding of the customer.
• Process-Oriented – solid understanding of key cross-functional processes.
• Strong Analytical skills – able to assess reports, identify issues, root cause, and recommend solutions.
• Inspirational Leadership – develop and maintain great working environment throughout all levels.
• Presentation skills – superior, both written and oral.
• Strong interpersonal skill.
• Team player.
