The Regional Manager TANROADS - MARA looking for the suitable qualified Tanzanian candidate for 15 post available ata Regional manager's office, SIRARI and RUBANA Weighbrigde Station in Mara Region, Inites qualified and interested candidate to apply the following positins

DRIVER

Key qualification for Driver.

1. Holders of Ordinary (Form IV) or Advanced Secondary Education (Form VI) Certificates;
2. Holders of Advanced Driving Certificates from recognized Institution is an added advantages ( preferable from National Institute of Transport
(NIT).
3. Experience in reputable Institution is an added advantage;
4. Must have gen’ ine and valid Driving License Category
5. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English Languages:
6. Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
7. Between 25 and 35 years of Age. (provide birth certificate)

B: Duties and Responsibilities of Driver
- Driver agenci motor vehicles
- keeps vehicle movement records in log book
- collect and distribute mail as directed by responsible officers
- ensure schedule and ad-hock maitenance and/or repairs
- perform any such other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Salary Scale Tan Scale 2.1

WEIGH BRIDGE SHIFT INCHARGE (2 Jobs),

A. Key qualification for the Shift In-charge:

1. Holder of Undergraduate Degree in any profession.
2. Must be Computer literate (at least Advance Certificate in Computer Applications);
3. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English Languages:
4. Must be Tanzanian Citizen
5. Between 35 and 40 Years of Age (provide birth certificate)

B: Duties and Responsibilities of Shift In-charge.

The shift ln-charge who reports to the Regional Manager will be responsible for:
1. Enforcing ‘Road Traffic Axle Load Control by the use of we bridgescale devices;
2. Supervising shift activities that among others including: Weighing motor vehicles Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)
3.500kg plying on our public Roads;

Imposing road damage fees on the spot for overloaded vehicles;
- Measuring physical dimensions of motor vehicle any load being carried on
- the motor vehicle for providing advice to transporter in case of non compliance with vehicle dimension limit;
- Recording all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighed;
- Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;
- Reporting all matters 0;-) Axle Load Control to the Regional Manager;
- Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Regional Manager;

Weighbridge Operator

Key qualification for the Weighbridge Operator: (5 Position)

1. Holder of full Technician Certificate or Ordinary Diploma in Civil; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (FTC);
2. Must be Computer literate (at least Advance Certificate in Computer Applications);
3. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English Languages:
4. Must be Tanzanian Citizen
5. Not above 35years of Age. (provide birth certificate)

B: Duties and Responsibilities of Weigh bridge Operator.

- Enforcing road Trfic Axcle Load Conrol by the use of Weighbridge Scale Devices
- carrying out activities as described in the roads Traffic regulations 2001 which include the following weigh motor vehicles gross vehicle weight 3.500 kg plying on our public roads
- imposing road damage fees on the spot for overloaded vehicles
- recording all necessary particular regarding the motor vehicle beinng weighed
- observing good customer care, diginity and integrity
- reporting all matters of the respectives shift in - charge
- performing other duties as may be assigned fro time to time by the shift in-charge/Regional manager

Weighbridge Cashier

Key qualification for the Weighbridge Cashier:

1. Holder of ordinary Diploma in Accountancy or ATEC II or equivalent.
2. Must be Computer literate (at least Advance Certificate in Computer Applications);
3. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English Languages:
4. Must be Tanzanian Citizen;
5. Not above 35 years of Age. (provide birth certificate)

B: Duties and Responsibilities of Weigh bridge Cashier.

The holder of this post who reports to Shift In charge will be
responsible for:

1. Record properly all required weighbridge accounting information.
2. Ensure that all necessary accounting forms at the weigh bridge station are properly filled and kept.
3. Provide reports on axle loading accounting procedures which may be required.
4. Take care of weigh bridge accountable documents
5. Cooperate with the relevant parties involved in the axle control operations.
6. Implement directives relating to axle load control from the high authority and station supervisor.
7. To receive money and issue receipts to defaulters.
8. Ensure that all receipts are timely recorded and banked.
9. Maintain accurate records of receipts received/issued
10. Arranges the prompt of utility and other invoices related to the day to day running of the office.
11. Maintain defaulters register
12. Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his/her superior or by Head of Accountant and
Administration/Regional Manager.
13. Reporting all matters to the shift Incharge/Axle Load control supervisor.

Civil Engineering Technician

Key qualification for the Civil Engineering Technician: ( 2 Position)

1. Full Technician Certificate (FTC)/Diploma in Civil or Highway Engineering or equivalent.
2. Must be Computer literate
3. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and
4. English Languages:
5. Must be Tanzanian Citizen;
6. Work Experience: At least 3 years in roadworks
7. Age Limit: 25 years to 35 years (provide birth certificate)

Duties and Responsibilities of Technician.

The holder of this post who reports to Materials Engineer will be responsible for:

- Implement and record properly all required information related materials quality control tests.
- Ensure that all necessary forms at the materials Laboratory are properly filled and kept.
- Provide supervision reports to Materials Engineer regarding field works.
- Carry out soil materials tests as may be directed by Materials Engineer .
- Cooperate with the relevant parties involved in the Materials quality control operations.
- Implement directives relating to Materials Laboratory operations from the high authority.
- To receive soil samples from Stakeholders for testing.
- Carry out soil materials explorations and sampling.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by
- Head of Units and the ~regional Manager

Office Assistant

Key qualification for Office Assistant.

- Holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Exam (CSEE)
- Must be fluent in Kiswahili and preferably be able to
- communicate in English;
- Must be a Tanzania Citizen;
- Age; Not above 35 Years of age; (provide birth certificate)

B: Duties and Responsibilities of Office Assistant.

1. Cleaning offices, washrooms and premises;
2 Preparing and serving tea, coffee and refreshments;
3. Moving files and documents and directed;
4. Undertaking photocopying/ or binding of documents as directed;
5. Dispatching letters or parcels;
6. Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;
7. Reporting all matters to the Shift In charge;
8. Performing such other related duties as may be assigned by the senior
staff;

Salary Tan Scale 1.1
